Leadership Insider – Cohort Leader, Professional Life Coach & Leadership Development Training

I speak most often on leadership development, workplace culture, coaching conversations, and the evolving role of HR as a strategic business partner. I especially enjoy working with audiences of HR professionals, people leaders, and emerging leaders who are navigating growth, change, and the very human side of leadership.

Some of my favorite questions to explore with audiences are: How do we create accountability while still leading with empathy? And – What helps leaders move from managing people to truly influencing culture?

My speaking style is interactive, thoughtful, and (I hope) relatable.  Whether facilitating a workshop, leadership training, or panel discussion, my goal is always to create a space where people feel encouraged, challenged, and supported to create their own authentic approach to leadership. I want audiences to connect ideas back to their own experiences and walk away with renewed confidence in their ability to lead meaningful change for their organizations.

The most meaningful pieces of feedback I’ve received is that people leave my sessions feeling “energized, capable, and less alone” in the challenges they face as leaders.

Kim Conant

Professional Speaker, Supervisor Training & Educational Speaker Workshops
Kimberly Conant, Employee Relations Consultant at a Seattle human resources firm

I approach speaking the same way I approach consulting, practical first, people-centered always. I’m less interested in delivering a polished “performance” and more interested in creating sessions where attendees walk away thinking, “I can actually use this tomorrow.” Whether I’m speaking to supervisors, executives, HR professionals, or business owners, my goal is to make complex workplace issues understandable, approachable, and actionable without losing the human side of the conversation.

My speaking style is interactive, conversational, practical, and story-driven. I use real workplace examples, audience participation, humor, and discussion to keep people engaged rather than talked at. I believe adults learn best when they can connect information to situations they have actually experienced, so my sessions are designed to feel grounded in real life instead of overly theoretical or legalistic. I also enjoy translating “HR language” into operational language that managers and leaders can immediately understand and apply.

Some of my favorite speaking topics include:

  • Leadership and supervisor development
  • HR compliance made practical for managers
  • Communication and feedback skills to promote collaboration and understanding
  • Building healthy and psychologically safe workplace cultures
  • Preventing common management mistakes before they become legal issues

I especially enjoy workshop-style sessions, interactive trainings, and facilitated discussions where participants can engage with scenarios, ask questions, and apply concepts in real time. My goal is for audiences to leave feeling more confident, more prepared, and equipped with practical tools they can immediately apply in their workplaces.

One of my favorite pieces of feedback came after a presentation in Kennewick. Someone came up to me afterward to say thank you and tell me I did a great job. I joked that my only goal was to be at least mediocre, and he enthusiastically responded, “You nailed it!”

That will probably remain one of my favorite responses for a very long time.

Lisa Llewelyn

Respect In the Workplace – Training, Employee and Supervisor Training & Anti-Harassment Workshops
Lisa Llewelyn, Senior Human Resources Consultant at a Seattle human resources firm

I bring a practical, people-first approach to workplace conversations that are often avoided, mishandled, or overcomplicated. With extensive experience advising employers across hospitality, retail, nonprofit, and service-based industries, I specialize in helping leaders navigate the human side of HR, from difficult conversations and workplace culture to compliance, communication, and employee engagement. My sessions blend real-world scenarios, humor, empathy, and actionable strategies that leaders can immediately apply in their organizations.

I’ve facilitated training on topics including DISC Dimensions of Behavior, increasing human effectiveness, workplace anti-harassment, workplace liability and risk reduction, leadership communication, OSHA and workplace safety, coaching and accountability, leave management, and respectful workplace practices. Whether I’m speaking to restaurant managers, leadership teams, HR professionals, or frontline supervisors, my focus is helping people build confidence in conversations that matter most, especially the ones many leaders tend to avoid.

I’m known for creating highly engaging and interactive sessions that feel approachable rather than overly corporate. I would describe my speaking style as conversational, direct, story-driven, and practical. I believe people learn best when they feel included in the conversation rather than talked at. My goal is for attendees to leave feeling more confident, more capable, and better equipped to lead with both clarity and compassion.

One piece of feedback that has stayed with me came from a manager who shared, “You made HR feel human instead of intimidating.” That balance, protecting both people and organizations while keeping workplace interactions grounded and respectful, is at the center of every session I lead.

I especially enjoy workshops, leadership trainings, panels, and interactive team sessions where participants can openly discuss challenges, ask candid questions, and walk away with tangible tools they can use immediately.
